Upcoming Program:
Coastal Family Health Center will begin implementation of Mental Health Integration (MHI) into Primary Care at our Biloxi clinic. This MHI project is modeled on the successful Intermountain Healthcare program that is based in Utah and Idaho. The pilot site in Biloxi will be the second community health center in the United States to implement the Intermountain Healthcare model. Support for this two-year project was provided by a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Seven (7) community and state partners will provide additional services and community mentoring and education for the project. In addition to Coastal Family Health Center, partners include:
- Gulf Coast Mental Health Center/MS Department of Mental Health
- MS Counseling Association/Project Relief
- Girls and Boys Club, Gulf Coast/New Hope Program
- MS Interfaith Disaster Task Force
- Gulf Coast (formerly Long Beach) Substance Abuse Task Force
- Mental Health Association of Mississippi
- MS National Alliance on Mental Illness
