Mom & Baby Mobile Unit
Coastal Family Health Center received the Mom and Baby Mobile Unit from the March of Dimes Foundation in 2007 to address the increasing need of prenatal and well women care to residents on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We believe that this mobile center allows access to prenatal care at an affordable price and is a proactive approach to help improve the health outcomes of Mississippi’s babies.
The mobile unit is well equipped with fetal monitor, ultrasound, and all equipments for prenatal care, and it is handicap accessible. We provide prenatal care until the last trimester. Referrals for delivery preparation is then arranged to allow time for patients to feel comfortable with the delivering physician.
