FAQs

What is a Community Health Center?

Community Health Centers are local, non-profit health care centers providing comprehensive primary care to all residents. We serve as patient safety net and maintain an open-door policy, providing high quality affordable care regardless of an individual’s income or insurance coverage. Also known as Federally Qualified Health Centers, the centers are located in areas where care is needed but in short supply.

Do I have to pay at the time of service or should I expect a bill to be sent to me?

It is our policy to expect payment at the time of service. If you have insurance coverage, you will be expected to pay the copay per your insurance policy at the end of the visit. If you do not have insurance, our cashier will tell you the amount due at the end of the visit, taking into account for sliding fee discount if you are eligible. However, payment arrangements are sometimes necessary and can be made. Please ask our cashier for further assistance on payment arrangements.
